The Team
Our team knows upstream production well and facility optimization and management. The four founding NSI principals have over 100 years combined experience in the upstream production systems space.
David (Dave) Dixon – Principal and President.
Dave Dixon has been president of the company since its inception in 1998. Prior to starting NSI, Dave held numerous senior positions over a 27 year career within major oil companies in the Upstream Production Control and Data Acquisition space. Dave oversees the overall day to day management of NSI and is heavily involved in all aspects of the business.
David J. Smith – Principal and Director, Software Development.
As a founding principal of NSI, David brings to NSI a very strong background in software development. David's 25-plus years experience in upstream control systems development and implementation brings a level of expertise to NSI that results in an unmatched level of customer satisfaction with the projects he oversees. In addition to acting as corporate webmaster, David also contributed substantially to NSI product graphics and the data historian development.
Wayne H. Bonin – Principal and Director, Project Implementations.
Wayne, also a founding principal, has a very successful and long history of delivering successful customer project implementations. Before joining the NSI founding principals in 2003, Wayne acquired 30-plus years experience in the upstream E&P space. The majority of that experience was accumulated working for a major in real-time control systems communications architecture, project implementation, and software development.
Kevin D. Welch – Principal and Director, Customer Support.
The remaining founding principal, Kevin, oversees our “second to none" customer support. Kevin's 24 years experience in both development and support of real time upstream control system applications contributes to the unmatched level of support provided to NSI customers. Kevin also collaborates, (as do all four of the< NSI founding principals), on the architecture and design of NSI tools and applications.
Fred Gard - VP, Sales and Marketing.
Fred has an extensive marketing and sales background spanning numerous vertical markets and technologies. He holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Marketing and has held senior positions in both Sales and Marketing in several fortune 500 high-tech hardware and software companies
David McDonald - VP, Administrative Operations and IT.
David has an extensive professional background in corporations located on almost every continent in the world. David has held senior positions large Fortune 500 companies, in small start-ups, and everywhere in between.
Jim Conrad – Director of Financial Operations
Jim joined NSI as a director after holding successful senior positions in accounting and finance within a large international company. He was also instrumental in the IPO for a 49%-owned subsidiary, which resulted in a $50 million profit. Jim holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in accounting from Louisiana State University.
Development and Support Staff
NSI maintains a staff of engineers and analysts that are experienced in developing real-time upstream asset management solutions for our customers. Our Development and Support Staff are dedicated to providing our customers with the highest level of satisfaction in the industry.
